Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Collins formed the popular duo The Collins Kids with his sister Lorrie Collins. Their unique approach to creating catchy songs for children quickly gained them regular spots on the show “Town Hall Party.” Following their eventual split, Collins embarked on a solo career and produced several chart-topping hits including “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” and “Delta Dawn.”
