Well, honey, let me tell ya, if you’re blessed with a little bit of fame and you find yourself at a Luke Combs concert, odds are you’re gonna end up sharing a beer with him in a rather unique way. That’s what happened to our favorite Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, at Combs’ concert in good ol’ Kansas City this past Saturday (June 10).

Now, we all know Mahomes as one of the finest quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. He’s got a knack for those shotgun snaps, but let me tell ya, that boy can also shotgun a beer like a champ.
Luke Combs, bless his heart, decided to give the crowd a little surprise. He called out his buddy Mahomes onto the stage, and honey, you should’ve seen how wild the hometown crowd went! Their superstar quarterback strutted onto that stage, his hat turned backwards just the way we like it, and the crowd went as wild as a buck on the first day of hunting season.

Now, I ain’t got no instant replay, so don’t ask me who was faster at shotgunning those beers. But you know Luke does this most nights at his concerts, so he’s got some practice under his belt. On the other hand, Mahomes is an athlete in peak physical condition, so the boy’s got speed. It must’ve been quite the sight to see.
Lately, Luke’s been like a beer-shotgunning professor, trying to teach everyone the do’s and don’ts of the sport. Remember when he taught our ginger-haired crooner, Ed Sheeran, how to do it properly? And back in May, he invited Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett on stage to join the beer-shotgunning fun at his concert in Pittsburgh.
