As of today, June 6, 2020 we wanted to put together a list of the top country songs of 2020. Many fans of country music are big fans of the traditional country sound, and it seems like we’re heading that way for the rest of the year.
We put together a list of the top 10 country songs of 2020.
10) Morgan Wallen, “Chasin’ You”
“Chasin’ You” is Wallen’s third straight Number 1 hit and one of his favorites from the debut album that has itself been certified Gold. The heartbreaking lyrics are paired perfectly with the melody.
9) Luke Combs (Feat. Eric Church), “Does to Me”
This No. 1 hit for Luke Combs is another country-rocker that keeps his hot streak alive. If you are keeping track, that makes this one 8 straight number 1 songs for Luke Combs. Incredible!
8) Maddie & Tae, “Die From a Broken Heart”
The recent song “Die From A Broken Heart” has been on repeat on the airwaves and for good reason. It’s well written and sung perfectly by Maddie & Tae. It’s almost the perfect song for what it feels like the next day after a fight with your lover.
7) Chris Janson, “Done”
Does this song remind anything else of something that Blake Shelton would put out? Some people who hear it on the radio think it is Blake’s, but this hit from Chris Janson on his Real Friends album is looking like it’ll become his career hit.
6) Gabby Barrett, “I Hope”
Almost 2 years after Gabby first wrote this song, it’s gaining new momentum for the teenage singer. The revenge-minded anthem is being played over and over and looks like it’s going to lead her to a promising career!
5) Runaway June, “We Were Rich”
The song from the Blue Roses album “We Were Rich” is crushing it right now for Runaway June. The nostalgia that this song brings up is real.
4) Miranda Lambert, “Bluebird”
Once again Miranda Lambert does it with her new Bluebird album. The deep-thinking song about battling life with an open heart hits home with a lot of us.
3) Sam Hunt, “Hard to Forget”
“Hard to Forget” is just that… hard to forget. Sam Hunt has been giving us some incredible songs and this is another one.
2) Keith Urban, “God Whispered Your Name”
Keith Urban sings a beautiful song all about God and shows that he’s a man of faith in quiet ways. With how much heartbreak we go through in life, it’s still important to maintain your beautiful heart and not to let anyone change that. Life is beautiful regardless of the ugliness you may be going through right now.
1) Blake Shelton (Feat. Gwen Stefani), “Nobody But You”
I’m still a little biased against the whole Blake and Gwen thing, I loved him and Miranda, this song is great. You honestly can’t get away from this song either. It’s one of radio’s favorite songs for a good reason. Did you know this is the first time in her career that she’s ever said God in a song? I think it’s so special that she finally gets to be loved properly thanks to Blake Shelton.
